The Merchant of Venice is delighted to announce its collaboration with the Fondazione Querini Stampalia to celebrate the return of Giovanni Bellini’s masterpiece, The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple, from July 10, 2025.
Within the immersive installation titled How to deal with a Masterpiece, the painting is enshrined in a contemporary shell that both protects and elevates its presence—surrounded by a sensory tapestry of light, sound, and fragrance. Here, Mystic Incense, from the Murano Collection, takes central stage: its incense, cocoa, white woods, and caramel accords form an olfactory bridge between the artwork and memory, creating a truly immersive and pervasive experience.
Paired with the visionary structure designed by Izaskun Chinchilla—featuring birch‑wood framework, acoustic felt made from recycled materials, and velvet drapes—the fragrance enhances the poetic architecture: each breath becomes part of the artwork, every whisper of light accompanies the gaze, and every scent resonates with the vision of the masterpiece.
